cgpbadgeimage007skollWilliam Nix, as one of the co-founding members of the Producer’s Guild Social Impact Entertainment Task Force,  made presentations to members of the production and writing communities at UCLA, hosted by the Skoll SIE Center (http://www.tft.ucla.edu/skoll-center-for-social-impact-entertainment), and also at the Austin Film Festival.

The former focused on “Financing Social Impact Entertainment” productions and the latter on “Shifting Writers’ Lenses” when designing their characters and their stories, as well as discussing examples of how working writers, directors, and producers can apply these principles to their creative content. During the AFF, he also did a Q& A with MFA Writing Candidates with Professor Leslie Kreiner.
